Dr. Vived holds a Doctor of Psychology and is a licensed marriage and family therapist with over 15 years of clinical experience working with children, teens, couples and families. Dr. Vived works with people struggling with a wide variety of clinical issues including: relationship problems, infidelity, conflict, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, parenting, sexual abuse, and trauma. She performs individual therapy, couple’s therapy and family therapy. Dr. Vived works with clients of all ages.
Using her education and years of clinical experience she adapts her treatment approach to each individual client. While she most often uses an attachment-experiential approach with solution-focused interventions, Dr. Vived uses a best fit approach to treatment in order to meet her client’s needs.
Dr. Vived’s style includes acceptance, warmth, compassion, optimism, and collaboration. She enjoys working with individuals and high-conflict couples and families. She is active in therapy, and although she finds listening to be incredibly important, she is known to challenge her clients, highlight where they’re stuck, and encourage their transformation. She believes the psychotherapist and client must work together to enable the client to better understand their behaviors in order to improve quality of life. Despite her empathy, Dr. Vived doesn’t hesitate to push her clients to confront their issues.
Vived has post-graduate formal training and extensive clinical experience in Solution Focused Brief Therapy, EMDR, Brief Strategic Therapy, attachment theory, trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, parenting and couples (EFT & Gottman Method). Dr. vived is also an AAMFT approved supervisor, professor and clinical director at California School of Professional Psychology- Los Angeles and Irvine campuses.
