INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Individual therapy, also called one on one therapy or counseling, is a form of mental health treatment where a person meets privately with a trained therapist to work on personal concerns. We can do this in-person or virtually.

Our offices are designed to be a peaceful, beautiful, dedicated space for you to slow down, reflect, and work through what feels heavy, confusing, or stuck in your life. It is a one-on-one process designed to help you better understand yourself, strengthen your coping skills, and create meaningful change.

Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, navigating a transition, healing from past experiences, or simply wanting to grow, therapy offers focused support tailored to your needs.
If you are ready to invest in your growth and well being, individual therapy can be a powerful place to begin.
WHAT TO EXPECT
A Safe and Confidential Space. Our sessions are private and grounded in trust. You are free to speak openly about your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Confidentiality is a core part of the process, with limited legal exceptions related to safety. In your first session we will get to know you and what you're hoping to achieve from therapy.

A Collaborative Process. Therapy is not about being judged or told what to do. It is a partnership. We will work together to explore patterns, identify goals, and develop tools that support your well being.

Practical Tools and Deeper Insight. Depending on your needs, our work may include building coping strategies, challenging unhelpful thought patterns, improving communication skills, processing past experiences, or developing greater self awareness. In your first sessions, we will lay the groundwork for your specific needs.

Consistent Support. Sessions typically last 50 to 60 minutes and are held on a regular basis, often weekly. Consistency helps build momentum and trust in the process.
DURING THE SESSIONS
You are invited to bring whatever feels most important that week. This could be a recent event, a difficult emotion, a recurring pattern, or something you have been reflecting on.
We may look at how past experiences, beliefs, or coping strategies are shaping your current life. Increasing awareness is often the first step toward change.
Depending on your needs, we might work on tools for managing anxiety, improving communication, setting boundaries, regulating emotions, or challenging unhelpful thought patterns.
If you are working through grief, trauma, or difficult experiences, sessions provide a structured and supportive space to process at a pace that feels manageable.

You are not expected to perform or say the right thing. Therapy is not about being a “good” client. It is about being honest and open, even if that means saying, “I do not know what to talk about today.”

Growth often happens gradually. Some sessions may feel deeply emotional, others more practical or reflective. Both are valuable.
ENDING THERAPY
The goal of individual therapy is not perfection. It is progress. Over time, many clients notice increased self understanding, improved emotional regulation, stronger relationships, and a greater sense of direction in their lives. Ending therapy is up to you. Some of our clients feel great after only a few sessions and some prefer to continue indefinitely. You decide when you're ready to end therapy.
